The MPT-1 terminal is equipped with four dedicated berths specifically designed for the handling of liquid cargoes. These berths are connected to a variety of pipelines, enabling the safe and efficient transfer of liquid products from the jetty to the tank farm. At the port, the tank farm has the capacity to store a diverse range of liquid cargo, including vegetable oil, chemicals, and petroleum, oil & lubricants (POL) products. The infrastructure at the Liquid Terminal is designed to provide exceptional storage facilities, with a strong emphasis on safety and security in cargo handling and storage. Our priority is to ensure the utmost safety and security for our customers throughout the entire process.

  • The tank farm comprises a combination of SS tanks, CS tanks, and MS tanks, enabling storage of various types of cargoes such as vegetable oil, chemicals, and petrochemicals.
  • The tanks are equipped with insulation facilities, heating capabilities, and pipeline surface heat tracing.
  • Different tank enclosures include fixed cone roofs, floating roofs, and internal floating tanks to accommodate different types of cargoes.

Mundra port established Automobile Roll On – Roll Off (RO RO) Terminal in the year 2009 and since then has been serving as a gateway port for Automobile companies situated in Delhi NCR, Rajasthan and Gujarat region. Mundra port handles exports of Cars, Buses, and Trucks. The port operations team is mindful of the specificities involved in Automobile exports has highly skilled personnel and systems in place for the same. Mundra port has a highly innovative floating pontoon and link span which is also one-of-its-kind in India for round-the-clock RO-RO operation without any tidal restriction. The port also has a buffer yard along with a washing facility for parking and washing of vehicles.

The port has covered and open storage areas with enormous capacity. Excellent cargo evacuation and receiving infrastructure support smooth cargo movement in and out of the port.

The multipurpose terminal in Mundra has multiple covered godowns and open yards for storage of large volumes of cargo. The covered godown can store over 7 LMT of cargoes inside Port & 3 LMT at Agri park. Open yards, with a total area of 4 lacs sq. mtrs., have been earmarked for minerals, timber, steel and project cargo. The liquid terminal has a tank-farm with 100 tanks capable of storing 4,63,000 KL of products ranging from Petroleum Oils, Petrochemicals, Chemicals and Vegetable oils. The entire tank farm is equipped with automatic radar gauging system for accurate and real time monitoring.

Cargo can be received and evacuated by road, rail, air, conveyors and pipelines.

The port can handle 80 rakes per day for inbound and out bound cargo. Separate sidings are provided for Agri, Fertilizer, Coal cargo and Liquid cargo.

The port has 4 / 6-lanes road connectivity allowing easy movement of cargo to and from the port.

Mundra Port is connected to the Indian National Highway (NH) network through two State Highways(SH) - SH 48 via Anjar and SH 6 via Gandhidham. Mundra Port is well connected to National Highway No. 8 A (Delhi-Kandla) up to Mandvi via Mundra town.

Air

Mundra port has its own airport planned as an international air cargo hub. Presently the air runway strip is 900 meters which is to be expanded to 4500 meters.

For dry cargo, a set of high capacity Grab Ship Unloaders (GSUs), and Mobile Harbors Cranes ensure quick discharge and loading of vessels.
